Message from FIP Consultant, Mr Tay Peng Hian

  I am pleased and honored to be the FIP Consultant for this mega philatelic event in the year 2009, CHINA 2009 World Stamp Exhibition, April 10 to 16, 2009, in Luoyang City, Henan Province, China.I have visited Luoyang City last December and inspected all the facilities including the museum which is still under onstruction and noted with interest that the first assignment for the museum is to stage this exhibition.Luoyang City will serve as a meeting point for all the philatelists and stamp lovers all over the world to meet,to renew friendship and to make new acquaintance.

  China has on record successfully organized three major international stamp exhibitions, namely, CHINA 1996 (9th Asian International Stamp Exhibition in Beijing), CHINA 2003 (16th Asian International Stamp Exhibition in Mianyang, Szechuan Province) and the China 1999 World Philatelic Exhibition in Beijing where I played the role as Executive Consultant to the Executive Committee. I have the confidence that CHINA 2009 will be a great success and an event that will be remembered for many years to come.
